Compliance
Why the way we work protects your practice.
Content published under a physician’s name carries the practice’s reputation and license. Our whole workflow is designed around that fact.
Three sets of rules
What every piece is checked against.

Federal advertising rules

FTC

Health claims have to be truthful, not misleading, and supported before they run. We avoid unsupported superlatives, absolute outcome claims, and testimonials that imply results most patients won’t see. Reviews and endorsements follow current FTC guidance, including on fabricated or undisclosed-incentive reviews.
Patient-privacy rules
HIPAA marketing
Marketing use of patient information, images, or stories requires proper authorization. We work so that no protected health information reaches us at all — and we guide your team on the areas practices most often miss, like responding to online reviews without confirming someone was a patient.
State advertising requirements
Medical board
State medical boards set their own rules on how practices may advertise — on specialist claims, testimonials, before-and-after images, and record retention. We check content against the requirements of the state your practice is in.
The record is the point. It’s what makes the work defensible.

For every approved piece, you keep a timestamped entry showing what was reviewed, what was checked, and when your physician signed off. If a question is ever raised about something you published, you have a documented answer rather than a memory.

Some states also require practices to keep copies of their advertising for a set period. Where that applies, the record isn’t just useful — it’s part of meeting the requirement.

A note on what this is. Our compliance workflow draws on FTC guidance, HIPAA marketing rules, and state medical board advertising requirements, and is designed to be reviewed alongside your own counsel. It supports your physician’s judgment; it does not replace it, and it is not legal advice. Your physician is always the final approver of published content.
